afternoon along with an additional 1 to 2 inches of rain through
Wednesday morning is causing significant rises in area rivers.
A flood warning continues for
Rouge River in southfield.
* from now until further notice.
* at 5 pm Tuesday the stage is 13.0 feet and rising.
* flood stage is 12.0 feet.
* minor flooding is occurring.
* forecast is to crest around 13.3 feet tonight.

The flood watch continues for
* a portion of southeast Michigan, including The following areas,
bay, genesee, huron, lapeer, lenawee, livingston, macomb,
midland, monroe, oakland, saginaw, sanilac, shiawassee, st.
Clair, tuscola, washtenaw, and wayne.
* through Wednesday afternoon
* widespread rain will continue through Wednesday morning. Rainfall
will be moderate in intensity at Times. Additional rainfall
amounts between 1 to 1.5 inches are expected with additional
water added due to runoff from the complete melting of the
* urban, low lying and poor drainage areas prone to flooding will
be most susceptible. Rises on area rivers, streams and creaks
are expected, with the potential for minor flooding to occur.
