About Reedview:
  • Reedview is in the Crescent Ridge subdivision in Troy, MI. We came up with the name Reedview because our house backs up to a wetland and the most prominant feature from our backyard is a view of the reeds. We also thought it would just be a fun name to use for our house.

  • This project started when I was given a weather station as a gift and I installed it in the backyard. I thought it would be fun to monitor the conditions at our house when I was away (vacation, work, etc.) and this led me to post a simple page on the web. Later I disovered software that would enable me to produce fancy graphs. Pretty soon, I felt I needed to hook in additional content so that I could access all the weather information I was interested in without having to go to another site. I recently discovered HamWeather and soon will be able to provide comprensive weather data for anyone in the US.

  • I have learned a lot about the weather and also a lot more about building and maintaining web sites. As you can see, this project will never be finished, so check back often to see more updates...
